Offering same-day, on-site labs means that you can complete your visit and lab test in one trip, at one location, for an easy, comprehensive health screening.   We'll discuss your results during your visit, and your lab results are available to you anytime on your patient portal.

What do same-day labs screen for?

Same-day lab testing allows medical providers to screen for the following conditions:

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Which same-day labs are right for me?

To determine which same-day labs you may be a candidate for, the Hampstead Internal Medicine team checks your vital signs, weighs you, calculates your body mass index (BMI), and reviews your medical history. 

They discuss your lifestyle habits, family history of diseases, symptoms, medications, and more. 

During a physical exam, your provider evaluates your overall health for signs of possible health problems. They examine your eyes, ears, throat, limbs, and abdomen. They also assess your reflexes, breathing, and heartbeat. 

What can I expect during same-day lab testing?

During  lab testing, your provider may swab your throat or nose, take a blood sample, or have you leave a urine or stool sample for lab analysis. 

What happens after same-day labs?
